A Letter From the Owner
I moved from Pennsylvania to Oregon in 1983, and immediately fell in love with the Mt. Hood area. The beauty, the friendly people, the easy access to skiing and running trails – I’m still amazed by this place every day.
After five years of being a skiing and snowboarding Instructor, I founded High Cascade Snowboard Camp on Mt. Hood. My vision was to create a snowboard and skateboard camp with the traditional camp experiences I grew up with in Western Pennsylvania. And although High Cascade was successful, at some point I realized we needed to upgrade our operation. That was the inspiration for Boardwalk Lodge.
We completed construction in 2000, and over time expanded beyond hosting skiing and snowboard camps. I wanted to share this remarkable place with others, and we’re now fortunate to meet incredible people from all walks of life.
